Spurs are reportedly interested in right-back Pedro Porro and could activate his €45 million release clause.

According to reports, Tottenham is considering making a deal for Sporting’s right defender Pedro Porro as early as January.

Porro, 23, was chosen by Manchester City in 2019, when they paid Girona in LaLiga £11 million for him.

He spent a season on loan with Real Valladolid and then two more seasons on loan at Sporting before the Portuguese club finally agreed to make his move permanent earlier this year for £7 million. He never played a single game for the Premier League champions.

That turned out to be a brilliant move because he has four assists in 10 games in the Primeira Liga and caught Antonio Conte’s attention by starting in a 2-0 Champions League victory over Spurs at home.
