Bayern Munich new manager will be Tuchel.

Bayern Munich new manager will be Tuchel.

After Julian Nagelsmann was fired on Thursday, Thomas Tuchel will take over as Bayern Munich’s manager, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Bayern and Tuchel have a complete agreement in place, and that final paperwork will be prepared on Thursday night.

The former Chelsea manager will be expected to repeat the feat he accomplished at Stamford Bridge when he took over in the middle of the season and won the Champions League only a few months later. He will take over a talented team that, despite losing Robert Lewandowski last summer, has struggled at home but is still competitive in Europe.

At the beginning of the Premier League season, Tuchel was fired by the Blues, and Graham Potter took his place. He has been linked to a number of jobs since then, including Real Madrid, where Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly about to leave.

Nagelsmann never completely won over Bayern fans, and the team lost to Villarreal in the Champions League last year and is now behind Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Before their match on April 1, Bundesliga leaders Dortmund (53 points) and Bayern (52 points) are separated by only one point. The difference in points between the big five European leagues is the smallest.

After the international break, Bayern will play Dortmund in a crucial Bundesliga matchup for the top spot.
