In light of rumors linking him to Man United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, Asensio discusses Real Madrid’s future ambitions.

In a statement about his future ambitions at Real Madrid, Marco Asensio has cut ties with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.

The Spanish forward is in the penultimate year of his Santiago Bernabeu contract and, if no new terms are reached, he will become a free agent next summer. The 26-year-old has, however, indicated that an extended stay with La Liga heavyweights will be agreed upon, necessitating the redirection of Premier League giants’ focus.

According to Asensio, “Do I want to renew? If everything goes according to plan, I’ll be extremely happy at Real Madrid for many years and hopefully be able to stay for another ten. There are rumors that I am influencing Real Madrid’s decision. But I’ve always made an effort to contribute everything I’ve had, and eventually, people will find out. The club makes decisions as well; it’s not just up to me. We’ll both decide after the World Cup.

Asensio is currently concentrated on Spain’s quest for international success at the 2022 World Cup championships. La Roja is scheduled to face Costa Rica on Wednesday in Qatar to kick off their World Cup campaign.
